Early morning clear skies and promise of a bluebird day gave way to high clouds during the morning with a bitingly cold westerly wind. By the afternoon the cloud cover had increased more with the approaching westerly cold front due bring in more fresh snow overnight!
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Excellent cover over the upper and middle mountain with a nice top up of fresh snow over Monday and Tuesday to freshen up conditions. Main Basin was groomed to perfection first thing and Happy Valley was great for fast cruising. Etive Glades was closed but it was still possible to get down to The Wall and round it with some nice fresh turns to be found. Rannoch Glades was hard and icy with a loose covering of fresh snow on top of the hard base. Spring Run had some harder scraped areas higher up but lots of softer fresh snow to be found lower down and moguls building. The Wall and Thrombosis and mid- mountain runs are all in great shape. East Ridge and The Flypaper were seeing a lot of action today and their were lots of fresh lines to be found beneath the East Ridge and onto the plateau. We skied down below the East Ridge towards the Ba Cottage and skinned back out. Skied down the Blue Access Run at the end of the day and hoofed it out on the Red Bike Track. A great Day's skiing!
