sunshine in morning, cloudier and windier as the day progressed

Great first thing, wet and heavy by end of day
... since it had been powder, it didn't convert to nice spring snow, it just got thick and wet and heavy. Given a thaw today (Sunday) and a refreeze, the next thaw should be a bit nicer to ski on whatever is left...

After last lift, had a wee explore over the back with Jonno, Bridget & Findlay. They hit Aladdin's Couloir ("easiest conditions I've ever skied it in", said J) and I got down Jacob's Ladder:

Progressively windier & cloudier as day progressed

Amazing cover for mid may with great snow high up the mountain and moist, sticky snow below 900 metres.

amazing conds with very little high cloud and sunshine most of the day!!! a tiny bit of wind higher up but a warm day!

all pisted areas were great and off piste was stacked with pow!!the early birds got all the freshies and it got a bit sticky and slow later on.park set up was sick and v v well used today!

Sunny all day with only a few cloudy spells. Wind mostly a non issue but increasing westerly as the day went on.

Every route to the M1 poma, or Ciste tow, including off piste, was covered in fresh in the AM. Off piste stickied up after lunch and went from a 4 to a bleurrrgh.

Groomed and high traffic areas remained great until close.

Blue sky, light wind

Wide cover and those first up enjoyed freshies in good quality snow. Even from the car park I could see the powder trails coming up behind those skiing the East Lady.
By the time I was on the slopes the snow had turned a bit heavy and by the end of the day it was best to ski where there was heavy traffic as it was less sticky. Snow quality probably went from 4 to 2 as the day progressed

You could virtually ski anywhere but some chose to ignore warnings and as a result two boarders were lucky to not be hurt in the avalanche they triggered.
