Overcast at times with sunny spells. The light was pretty flat outwith the sunshine. Strong wind on the upper slopes. Below freezing.
:: Snow Conditions & Info
Loads of fresh snow that was quite heavy in places and wind packed with sastrugi. Where smooth it was easy skiing but in the flat light at times you felt that you were like a ship in a gale.
The pisted Cas and lower slopes were lovely.
I skinned up the traverse to have a look. It was pretty wild outside the top station with the wind whipping up the snow.
I came down the lady which is absolutely loaded, hunting out the smooth areas between the enormous wind carved ridges. Great fun !
