Report
Generally a good width between the fences, though still early season conditions owing to lack of base, so some thin sections exist, and some scrapped sections are likely to develop esp. on steeper pitches where cover is thin and traffic heavy.
On the whole though some excellent early season sport on pisted machine packed powdery dry snow, and the sun continues to shine on Tuesday. Wednesday looks like starting much the same in the East, but it wont last, horrendous mountain conditions expected later in the day. Make the most of the good weather, but with blizzards forecast for later on Hogmanay hopefully even better snow for the New Year, fingers crossed.
Thanks to George Paton for the photos, if you have been out on the mountains and have a set of photos your willing to share on these pages please email them to pix@winterhighland.com .
