Mid section of Coire Cas, fairly narrow but it's standards but fully complete, with reasonable spring snow, keep over to Fiacaill side at the top.
| Skiers and boarders ponder the next move at the top of the Gunbarrel!

When a bumps run gets to being just one bump wide! Ride the bumps and take the straight line through the hollow! Couple of very narrow bits requiring to be straight lined!!
| The lower third of the Lady, very narrow and bumpy, just the burn course has snow. Need to remove planks for a short bit to get over to M1 Poma, but worth it on Sunday.
|
The Traverse from beyond the Cas Tow on the Fiacaill Traverse. Good deep cover on the Traverse, still options for exiting right on a direct line to 105.
| The best snow was on the Lady, freeze/thaw cycle overnight resulted in loose spring snow, good and wide up top, over the ridge the bumps got bigger and the run smaller...
|
Looking down the Ciste beyond the Ptarmigan Tow, good cover of spring snow here.
| Ptarmigan Bowl retains good nursery areas on soft snow, started firmer, freez/thaw has improved the snow.
|
Loading the Ciste Tow. Very short if any queues on Sunday.
| Ciste tow, both sides available, gully side better when the snow's sticky.

After a blowy and fairly icy start, Sunday turned out to be a largely fine day on the 'Gorm, though those who stayed till near the end, got a soaking waiting for the train!! An overnight frost left the snow hard and icy first thing, but as temperatures recovered and the skiing traffic increased the crust broke down to give some improved surface conditions, with spring snow now having replaced most of the heavy sticky snow of Friday.
Still good nursery areas in the Ptarmigan Bowl, and both sides of the Ciste Tow retain pretty good cover of spring snow for those seeking longer gentle green runs. Pic of the Day: White Lady, otherwise known as the suicidal zone! Good spring snow, building bumps and some challenging 'problems' offered for the experts!!
