Somebody had to carry the equipment for the new weather station to the summit...
View over the back from the top of the upper tows on a perfect spring day.
[Thu] Heading down Old Mugs Alley - new summit AWS now uploading and online!
Contractors mobilising for the build of the replacement Base Cafe.
Looking along Mugs Alley from near the top of the Cliffhanger.
Sweet windblown fresh snow in the Main Basin, but the base was hard and icy where exposed on slightly different aspects.
Looking back up the Main Basin.

A couple of days with little weather is just what was wanted to take equipment up to the summit and then install a new Summit AWS (Automatic Weather Station).
Live weather is now available from four locations giving a spread of elevation from base to top of the Main Basin on the Glencoe webcam page:
http://winterhighland.info/cams/glencoe/
Graphs of the past 36 hours windspeed and past 5 days air temperature are available. Wind data will hopefully be available mid-mountain shortly, currently only temperature from 2800ft.
The last windspeed from the previous summit AWS was 144mph... with that a sizeable portion of the lifty's hut cleared the Main Basin T-bar and departed the scene with the weather station still attached....
