Report
While the West missed out on the heavier falls of snow that the Lecht and CairnGorm Mountain caught late last week, both Glencoe and Nevis had a more extensive base, and still have some reasonable cover on the upper runs. There is some loose fresh snow around, but the base is hard-packed and icy.
Will be subjected to another thaw/freeze cycle this week, so is likely to remain hard for the coming weekend, but there may be some fresh on Friday which will improve surface conditions on the open terrain.
Thanks to Duncan Thomson for the selecton of pics from Meall a' Bhuiridh at the weekend.
