Only limited novice terrain is available for lift served snowsports, at the top of the mountain on natural snow by the Polar Express Trainer Tow and outside the Daylodge on machine made snow on the lower of the 2 Snow Badger magic carpets.
Apart from that there is little snow on the mountain, except strips along higher fence lines that were diagonal to wind blowing loose snow off the higher plateau areas earlier in the month. There are several terrain park features out along the Ptarmigan Traverse, but these need hiking as there has not been enough snow to reopen the Ptarmigan T-bar.
Twilight snowsports outside the Daylodge continue this week with late afternoon sessions from 3.30pm to 5pm.
High pressure in control and with inversion conditions it can not be guaranteed it will remain as clear as it was today at all levels, but it was a beautiful boxing day around Glenmore and on CairnGorm.
