Thrombosis Gully was strangely sticky and slow compared to the snow immediately skiers left of the gully!

Ski School have been using Old Mugs Alley for novice lessons, it's also the recommended place for sledging.

Hitting the Spring Run, with diurnal freeze thaw cycling expected, this should get better day on day this week.

Glencoe is proving to be the King of Spring this year, the only ski area open on Monday and with most mid and upper mountain runs still skiable there is a good range of terrain for more experienced skiers and riders with 1200ft of lift served vertical.

Early indications are for high pressure to ridge in later in the week, setting up in time for Easter Weekend, at this stage Good Friday looks very promising for a bluebird day with great spring snow turns to be had.

With little snow left on the Plateau a 6-8 minute walk is required over the Access Return path to the Plateau Cafe and the Cliffhanger Chairlift. This also means that Glencoe is presently only suitable for confident intermediates and above.

The freezing level crept above the summit on Monday afternoon, this meant some of the less skied fresh snow on the upper mountain became a little bit sticky. This was particularly noticeable on Happy Valley vs the Main Basin where more skier traffic skied out the stickiness and the Spring Run where the extra gradient helped.

Mid mountain the snow was more spring like, and with fluctuating temperatures this week, we expect the surface conditions across the mountain to improve into Easter Weekend as the snow surface morphs back into true granular spring snow.

Mid Mountain the red and black runs are giving good fun spring lines for advanced skiers and boarders. Thrombosis has two distinct lines through the narrow gully or just skies left of it, the Canyon is still pretty wide and the Wall is also still complete. The Canyon [black] is the best route to the Plateau Cafe as long as the snow is soft / loose!

The Plateau sledge park has been moved a few minutes walk uphill from the Cafe to give a longer and wider sledging area on Old Mugs Alley.
