Glencoe reopened for what will be the closing weekend to the 2021/22 Scottish Season on Friday. Another glorious sunny day expected on Saturday, possibly a bit hazier on Sunday.
Don't forget the high factor sunscreen - the sun is as strong as mid August now and the snow greatly amplifies it!
The Cliffhanger Chair and Main Basin T-bar are scheduled, with the main action from the Main Basin T-bar in the Main Basin itself. The Spring Run is also seeing action but requires a walk along the summit path, it was firm first thing so check AM!
Please be aware the open terrain is only suitable for confident intermediates and above, there is no green or easy blue terrain available and the Cliffhanger Chairlift is uplift only. The Canyon (black) and the Wall (red) are mostly skiable for advanced skiers and riders to get most of the way down the mid-mountain.
Bangers and Slash banked slalom is taking place on Saturday on Upper Happy Valley cutting over into the Main Basin.
Summer Tubing opens for the season and will be available weekends and holidays, sessions on the hour from 10am to 4pm, advance booking by calling 01855 851226 strongly advised.
Sledging remains available on around a 100m long slope on Old Mugs Alley around 10-12 minutes walk from the top of the Access Chair. Please note the Plateau Cafe is closed for the season, so please bring packed lunch or get breakfast in the base cafe AM and bring water / juice up the hill!
