Report
A stunning Saturday at the Lecht under blue sky (once some early light mist burned off) to take advantage of the mid-week snowfalls.
Snowy Owl was the best of the main side main runs, but the Buzzard runs were immaculately groomed on the other side to tease, as sadly there wasn't enough snow to get the uptrack complete for the weekend.
Alas it was all change for Sunday and the steeper pitches of the main runs took a hammering with heavy ski traffic in mild / damp / breezy conditions during the afternoon. Hopefully not much more damage will occur overnight, as colder air is due to push through around dawn on Monday.
If the main runs hold onto at least something of a base overnight into Monday, particularly the Buzzard side, then things should fill in again nicely for the Lecht reopening on Wednesday.
