Moving into mid April, and half way through spring, the fact that all 17lifts were still operating wasn't such hot news for the funicular contractors, who had been digging out the new Ptarmigan for weeks, only to keep seeing it fill in again. The work was slipping behind schedule, and the summer building season is short. Sadly it was clear that while CairnGorm Mountain had many weeks of snow left, the season was going to have to start winding down if there was any hope of completing the funicular on time. During this week work continued on digging out the Ptarmigan Foundations and the lower road upto the Sheiling.
