Friday saw another day of mostly blue skies under which to enjoy the overnight freshies, though a few sharp snow showers blotted out the sun around the middle of the day, further improving the excellent surface conditions. On the slopes all main runs remained complete, but some of the Cas Side of the mountain was out of action as funicular contractors worked to dig out the hill track they urgently needed for access to the Ptarmigan. With the Lady Chair, M1 Poma, Fiacaill Tow, Carpark Tow, and Ridge Poma out of action, the main action was taking place in Coire Na Ciste and on the White Lady, while beginners were now unable to access the Ptarmigan Bowl, and were restricted to the lower slopes and the Sheiling Tow and Carpark Chair.
