The early part of this week finally brought a thaw to lower hills, as can be seen by the bare hills around Loch Morlich, some snow loss occured on the lower part of CairnGorm, and some snow was blown of open slopes into the gullies and fenced runs further up. As can be seen from the photos though, on the upper mountain the snow remained dry and excellent.
