While the East didn't receive the sheer volume of new snow in the storms earlier this week that the West did, winds from a Southerly quarter do good things on CairnGorm Mountain drifting snow from the Plateau above into the key natural snow fields that form the most popular terrain.
The White Lady has filled nicely, and is due to get the winch cat treatment on Friday. The Gunbarrel filled out to two machine widths and is easy riding with machine packed powder. Lower slopes too have improved with good top to Daylodge riding, possible the whole way on green trails with machine packed powder.
Top Basin is in great shape, the Ptarmigan Bowl is perfect for learners and those who are looking to progress having mastered the basics, esp with the settled weather Thursday.
