These are a selection of photos taken from around Meall a' Bhuiridh on Monday by Winterhighland member Jungle, there are more pix in the Public Reports.
As the photos testify, the mountain is in amazing condition for the first half of December, it's usually early January before a sufficient base has built up.
However as good as it looks in the photos, some 28" to 36" of fresh snow has fallen on the upper mountain in the 48 hours since!! Between a foot and 18" fell at the base of the Access Chair, though this has undergone some consolidation low down after the FL rose above the moor for a time on Tuesday evening.
Though the mountain remains without mains power and only the Access Chair was open on Monday and Wednesday, Hydro Electric are delivering a 1MW generator to the Snowsports Area this evening - which should mean the whole mountain can open up (except the Plateau Poma), it's going to be amazing.
