Lift served snowsports are on offer in the Top Basin on CairnGorm, with the Polar Express for novices in the Ptarmigan Bowl and the Ciste Ski Tow for intermediates upwards.
The Ciste Fairway has a prepared pisted line to skiers right (outside of the T-bar track fenceline), while the rest of the run is now filling out with skier packed/tracked fresh snow - still a few rocks poking out but easily avoidable up here. Great surface conditions with accumulations of light windblown powder on a moderate slope to skiers left of the West Wall Poma.
Ciste Bowl is skiable with fresh powdery snow giving some options for fresh tracks, much less ski traffic went out this way on Saturday.
Around 18inches unconsolidated soft powdery snow on the upper half of the mid-mountain, but more snow is needed on the lower half.
