The last webcam shot at the base caught a really meaty snow shower arriving at Nevis Range as the light faded on Monday afternoon. It didn't just pass through, wind was just right to fuel convection of Loch Linnhe and Nevis got a pasting yesterday evening allowing the lift served season to get back underway Tuesday.
Alpha and Goose Tows run Tuesday, Linnhe will join the action for learners and easier access to the mountain on Wednesday and wind permitting (though that is looking slightly marginal) the Summit and possibly Quad could join the action.
Good riding back to the Top of the Gondola with the Rabbit Run's new rail fences well filled with windblown snow, but much wider cover up on the Goose. Snow was lying to the base and a few did manage a fairly (extremely in the middle section) combat descent to the base station on skis and boards!
Wind is forecast to rise sharply some point Wednesday afternoon, so an early start ought to catch the best of things but if possible check on route. There's been a few big misses on the wind forecasts already this season, so keep in tune with what is going on to avoid a wasted trip.
