Some fairly beefy snow showers came in on Saturday before gradually easing to give a bright end to Saturday with gear spells developing. This couple with the overnight snow meant there was some fresh to be had, the Wall was the best option mid-mountain for the more experienced skier / rider.
For easier terrain on the Plateau Greens the fresh snow has bashed out over the firmer snow to give easy going surface conditions on the groomers and even though cover is narrow in places was giving some pretty decent turns.
Old Mugs Alley was the pick of the green runs and was grooming up nicely. Off the groomers after yo-yoing temperature over the past couple of days surfaces are a bit more variable, however good pockets of fresh drifted snow meant worth exploring. Rankins Return nice for a longer run though some firmer areas, the snow was grippy rather than icy hardpack between the windblown accumulations of new snow.
Sunday is World Snow Day, a decent forecast with bright overhead, light becoming moderate wind will be lightest in the morning when the brightest overhead is due. Given a milder, damp and windy outlook for Monday, get up Sunday if you can.
