Snowfall during Thursday and overnight was sufficient to allow lift served snowsports to resume on the Plateau area on Friday.
Today the Plateau Poma and Coire Pollach Tow were running, Old Mugs Alley and the Coire Pollach Tow is the best option for snowplough turners as the tow is gentler compared to the Poma!
The Poma run and Old Mugs Alley retained something of a base so were giving the best turns, Low Road more generally thin. Rankins Return has decent cover, but needs a bit of effort to access unless either the Rannoch Chair or something mid-mountain is a goer on Saturday.
Only things definite for Saturday is the Poma and Coire Pollach Tow. Machines and staff are working tonight to attempt to build uptracks/links to allow more terrain and uplift to operate. But probably will not know until into the early hours if this work is going to be successful for Saturday.
The Main Basin T-bar is out of service, probably till mid April at least. Mid Mountain Mugs Alley has no base, the Wall will be the best route down the mid mountain for advanced skiers and boarders if anything opens above the Plateau. Novices and early intermediates should stick to the Plateau for the time being.
Sledge Park at the Plateau Cafe will feature music and ice bar this weekend.
