Sledge Park is in fantastic conditon, full length / width and use of the sledges is free! Just grab them from the wooden bunkers outside the Plateau Cafe.
| The Plateau Poma Run is still slightly broken at the bottom, but though thin / narrow in a few spots is now giving fairly easy skiing.
|
Catching some fresh tracks on Rankins Return. Rankins Return is broken at the bottom, but can get to around 100m from Access Chair on the track. Best route to end the day.
| Heading onto the Wall from the side of Etive Glades, use the Wall Crossover to get back to the Cliffhanger bridge.
|
Looking up the Main Basin through the Haggis Trap.
| Looking down the Haggis Trap, it has quite a kick on exit!
|
Looking up Meall a' Bhuiridh from the base of the Plateau.
| Main Basin was in great shape, giving sweet turns on machine groomed fresh snow.
|
Can now ski past the SSC Hut onto Mugs Alley once again.
| Top leg of Mugs Alley is thin but passable again, early season conditions. Go carefully at the corner, best to keep as high as possible.

The Main Basin (blue) was riding beautifully on sweet machine groomed fresh snow all day on Tuesday and is in the best condition of the season in terms of coverage . The Haggis Trap is the most mellow it has been this season, though do not go barrelling into it as the exit has quite a kick still! If you dont want to commit to the Haggis Trap either left into Happy Valley or right into Ski Tow Gully provide good altenative routes on groomed snow without the drama!
The Spring Run (red) had caught a good bit of windblown snow over the weekend with snow showers tonight hopefully some fresh tracks on Wednesday, but a strong East wind may move the fresher snow further round to the Main Basin or Happy Valley or even Etive Glades.
Happy Valley is good at the top and the bottom (which is in use for bypassing the Haggis Trap), but the middle third still has a couple of scratchy bits just above the fenced section and below the end of the fence into narrows in the shallow gully.
The Rannoch Button uptrack while still tricky in a few spots has notably mellowed compared to Sunday, with some further snow overnight on a strong East wind this will hopefully catch some more windblown snow. However for now it is really only suitable for advanced riders.
Mid mountain the Wall / Wall Crossover is the best route down to the cafe for experts, with the best line crossing the T-bar down the obvious line to the Cliffhanger bridge and it is possible to get back on the chair with skis on. Though very much early season baseless conditions, it is possible to get down the top leg of Mugs Alley then use Old Mugs Alley to get to the Plateau Cafe for a less step route.
Can ski from the Plateau Poma onto the Cliffhanger Chair via Old Mugs Alley. Though broken at the bottom, Rankins Return or the Low Road can be used to return to the Access Chair at the end of the day, can get to within about 100m of the chair on the track.
For those looking to go sledging the sledge park at the Plateau Cafe is in excellent condition and it is recommended you arrive no later than 2.30pm to go sledging.
