The Low Road on Friday afternoon, this was the most popular lower run as it was easiest to access from the Rannoch Chair.
| Plateau Poma Run was skiing nicely with more spring like snow by Friday afternoon despite being narrow in places.

| Rankin's Return was the best Plateau Run, but required some grass skiing to get to from the top of the Rannoch Chair!

Sledging in the afternoon sunshine outside the Plateau Cafe.

Two way traffic outside the Rescue Shed as the Haggis Trap is closed requiring use of Ski Tow Gully for descent.
| Old Mugs Alley is complete to the Plateau Cafe, but you need to unclip to reach the Cliffhanger Chairlift.

Old Mugs Alley was giving nice easy turns, but sadly the Coire Pollach uptrack is not usable.
| Brightened up fairly quickly on Friday morning to give a nice, but very mild day with light winds.

A welcome contrast in the weather to Thursday, Friday started dry with a bit of hill fog hanging around the upper mountain. But fairly quickly the sun made an appearance and that set the tone for a nice dry day, bright with sunny spells under part cloudy skies, with little wind making the mild temperatures feel even more spring like.
Sadly the rain and low cloud had persisted well into the night, meaning there had been a further loss of snow overnight. However things were drying out by opening time, and though things had got somewhat agricultural on parts of the Plateau runs, the surface conditions continued to improve through the morning and by afternoon the remaining snow pack was surprisingly nice snow to ski on given the cover had got patchy in places.
Unfortunately more high winds and a further period of heavy rain is set to arrive during Saturday afternoon, so the best course of action for Saturday looks to be an early start and be at the base of the Access Chair for first lift.
The Main Basin, Happy Valley and Spring Run are giving good riding on the upper mountain for more advanced skiers and boarders. Despite the snow loss on Wednesday night and through Thursday, most of the Plateau Runs are still skiable for more confident early intermediates upwards.
The Plateau Poma Run is complete, but narrow and worn at the very top and bottom. The Low Road is broken at the bottom, but was the most popular of the Plateau Runs as it was the easiest to get onto from the Rannoch Chair. Rankins Return is patchy at the top but a bit of grass skiing between some patches was rewarded with some sweet turns with an epic view of Rannoch Moor on Friday afternoon.
