A clearer start to the day on Monday above a misty Strathspey was short lived as light snow showers moved in, with hill fog lowering once again, with visibility and light poorer in the afternoon.
With another dusting overnight there was some good early season riding and the better vis early on allowed a bit of exploration to find the best lines.
The Upper Cas was the best run today with a less hard base and a good layer of loose snow and not many dropping of the 105. The lower 105 parallel to the Gunbarrel was also good. Zig Zas are improving steadily, top 2 are in good nick, still quite thin lower down but easily passable. The link over to the Gunbarrel is filled.
M1 RaceTrack was skiing somewhat better though still a bit lumpy in bits.
THe Fiacaill Traverse and Fiacaill are complete and were good on Monday, with new snow on a firm base - but it wouldn't take much traffic for the Terran Park area to get a bit icy.
