Report
With heavy overnight snowfall and persistant snowfall throughout the day good riding was to be had at Nevis Range despite the poor visibility.
With reports of up to 2ft of snow in the Goose Gully, skiers eagerly awaited the opening of the upper lifts which were closed due to high winds. Opening at midday, the upper lifts provided access to wind packed powder snow and some pisted areas. Best skiing was had off-piste.
Cover on the lower runs has improved considerably allowing the Linnhe tow to run. Yockies and the Rabbit Run have great cover for beginners and it's possible to ski to the top station and the bottom of the quad chair with ease.
Back Corries were closed due to poor visibility and considerable avalanche risk.
With more snow forecast tonight it's looking good for those currently on holiday.
