A spell of heavy snow in the morning with overnight showers gave another couple of inches of fresh powder snow for CairnGorm Mountain on Sunday.
Then the snow clouds cleared through, the wind eased up and a fantastic afternoon unfolded with great sliding for first timers upwards.
The Top Basin is in fantastic shape with an excellent cover and beautiful machine packed powder, super for learning on in the Ptarmigan Bowl.
The White Lady continues to offer advanced skiers and boarders excellent fun, with the sweet layer of new snow on the groomed grippy base, you could crank up some big carves.
The East Lady and Coronation Wall were seeing action later in the day, but with more snow forecast a high avalanche risk is forecast for Monday.
The Daylodge Poma was a good bolt hole for some ski onto lift runs, full width with machine packed powder on a firm base, just a couple of hard scrapped areas near the bottom.
The undoubted run of the day though was on the freshly laid out machine packed powder corduroy stretching from in the heart of the Ptarmigan Bowl at 3600ft all the way to the Ciste Carpark at 1800ft via the Laogh Mor Return.
