Just a short couple of hours sliding late on Wednesday afternoon. The higher slopes were in the cloud and the hill fog seemed to be sitting in Coire Cas, so stuck to the Fiacaill Ridge Poma area.
Fenced run had windpacked snow, the run down via the Carpark Run was pisted, though parts of the Fiacaill Crossover were scrapped a bit.
However the real fun was to be found skiers left (West) of the fences and more specifically over onto the Sneachda flank of Fiacaill a' Choire Chais, where there was beautiful windblown and wind packed powder.
Given the good snow and better light here this was seeing an unusual amount of traffic, but despite that you could always find some fresher line with a bit a of exploring.
Great couple of hours in decent visibility and that magical mid-winter twilight you get as dusk nears when getting close to the Solstice.
