The 'view' down the Ciste Mhearaidh mid afternoon....
Wrapped up against cold almost sleety rain - what happened to Summer!
Looking up the Ptarmigan Bowl with a good range of park features out, including a water slide.
The weather's having a laugh, it clears up once the lifts shut - maybe promising for tomorrow.
In almost an instant the visibility went - people were wiping out on the kicker because they couldn't see where the snow ended!
Railslide in the Ptarmigan Park. Five rails, pipe jib, hits off the large kicker and a pond skimming pond.
Even the sound system had it's wet weather gear on!

Well, frankly it wasn't supposed to end like this! After the work to rebuild the Ptarmigan Terrain Park, done in shorts and t-shirts over the past 2 days, the weather remembered it was a holiday weekend.
Rather than some sharp thundery April Showers that might have cleared the air quickly, it was that not particularly heavy, but incessant rain that soaks you through after lulling you into a fall sense of security that it's not that wet. Then the clag came back down and it wasn't possible to even see where the snow ended when you went off some of the park stuff!
Then to add insult, as the last train down's passengers piled out of the Base Station the Sun came out.
The weather has had it's laugh (hopefully) and better overhead is promised Sunday and Monday. So don't be put off by the soggy pictures, come up and grab a final slide or play in the Ptarmigan Terrain Park.
For those willing to do some leg work, the Ciste Gully still offers a long decent run - just remember the stream below!
Just two days left of the lift served season - so get up and play while you can.
