One of the warmest weekends of the year and the fine weather held into Monday, giving a cracking summer's day on the 'Gorm. The SE breeze blowing off the Plateau providing some pleasant cooling on the hike up from the Cas Carpark.
A mix of photos from the high level snow patches, and of some summer maintenance work ongoing around the mountain.
Soft granular spring snow in the Ciste Mhearaidh, gave short but pleasant runs for the July turns. The turns that have allowed Alan and Helen (H11lly) to notch up their 21st consecutive month of sliding on CairnGorm Mountain, since the epic 2010 season kicked off in November 2009.
August turns and month 22? A watchful eye will be kept on the Ciste Mhearaidh through July....
