A rather hectic Saturday at the Lecht, with the Carpark T-bar the only main run lift running across the other 4 ski areas and 10 days of lying snow in much of Scotland since New Year - it was always going to be one of those days half the country turned up to one place at once!
So some good news, the forecast is looking a good deal better than it was for Sunday, so still time to catch some very nice early season turns! The bad news is ticket sales have already been suspended for Sunday. If you don’t have a ticket or season pass, don’t travel!
Despite the queues it was well worth it for the great skiing. The Chair was providing great skiing on both sides and the Eagle was skiing very nicely as well. The Buzzard opened up around Midday and ran until the last of the light faded!
The Falcon Poma should make its season debut and offer up the first lift served red terrain of the season. Unfortunately the chairlift is not expected to operate.
