Plateau Poma Run is complete but thin and narrow, better to head down Old Mugs Alley to the Cliffhanger and get a longer run.
| Lower part of Mugs Alley is skiable, but Old Mugs Alley is the easier route back to the Cliffhanger for the less confident.

Big drifts getting bashed out on the corner of Mugs Alley.

Go carefully - particularly on the first run down something.
| Looking back up the top leg of Mugs Alley to the Cliffhanger.
|
Low Road narrow for a bit then widens out, can ski back to Poma or Rannoch Chair.
| Boarders getting some windblown fresh on the Low Road.
|
Sledge Park is excellent condition and as can be seen very quiet during the week, so perfect time for taking little ones up!
| On the top of the Low Road from the top of the Rannoch Chair.
|
Windblown fresh out on Rankins Return - unlike the Low Road which is complete, it is a bit agricultural to get out onto Rankins Return.
| Skier heading back from Rankins Return to the Poma.
|
Clifhanger Chair back in business for laps from mid-mountain. The Canyon though has gaping holes, the Wall was catching windblown snow late on.

 Top of the Cliffhanger Chairlift.
| Skier on Old Mugs Alley, this is the best route from the Poma / Rannoch Chair to the Plateau Cafe or Cliffhanger Chair.

With 24 hours to dry out the existing snowpack and a bit of help from heavy snow showers on a stiff Westerly wind drifting some fresh snow, machines were able to shove enough snow around during the morning to enable lift served snowsports to resume at noon on Wednesday.
Initially just the Plateau Poma opened, but it was joined early afternoon by the Cliffhanger Chair. This allowed laps out by the Low Road back to the Poma, then using Old Mugs Alley to return to the Cliffhanger.
All Plateau Runs are skiable, Rankins Return is the one that is most marginal for getting onto, whereas the Low Road though only a cat wide in places from the top of the Poma is easily skiable right back to the Poma or Rannoch Chair. Plenty of snow at the Rannoch Chair off ramp and this area connects to the Cliffhanger get on via the Plateau Cafe leg of Old Mugs Alley.
The only thing not passable was the Access Return path, so need to use either the Coire Pollach Tow or Cliffhanger Chair to regain the height required to reach the Poma / Rannoch Chair area.
Later on the wind was starting to load windblown powdery snow onto the Wall so some fresh turns were to be found here late in the day.
The risk of very strong Southerly winds appears to have receded for Thursday, so for the foreseeable largely unbroken sunshine from bluebird skies in the forecast for Thursday onwards. Moderate to fresh Southerly wind will ease during Thursday and wind is expected to fall light and variable over the coming days as high pressure takes charge of our weather.
The Sledge Park is in excellent condition, full length / width and the beginner area adjacent to it is in good shape for learners. If you are going sledging, it is recommended to be on site by 2pm to allow a decent amount of time at the sledging area on the mountain. Also the Plateau Cafe stops serving at 3pm.
