A few photos from a trip up the mountain to get the Summit webcam back up and online. The front of mountain webcams are now online ahead of the autumn shutdown of the Gondola, the summit with new network gear and mobile connection which was showing a much more robust signal!
There were a couple of people out touring, but while skis would have been better going up hill, below the foot of the Summit Tow it was probably easier going on foot, certainly carrying a backpack of tools and laptop!
There was reasonable drifting into the Summit Runs where the uptrack and runs have seen the snow fencing replaced in its entirety this summer with new rail fencing. Looks like it's doing a great job even in this very exposed location with the Summit Runs and uptrack all complete on Friday.
Alas, this will be historical information by Saturday, the weather was clearly closing in this afternoon, Severe Gales, with persistent heavy rain in the West Highlands overnight and through Saturday, such is the way of autumn in our maritime climate!
