Report
With the cold temperatures the snow remains dry and fresh despite heavy traffic on the Plateau on Saturday. However cover is thin and there is only a base on Old Mugs Alley where the Snowfactory has been working - so the cover is quite thin and there are a few scratchy areas and natural hazards.
Rankin's Return was lovely though so well worth pushing out over there. People were sticking the Old Mugs Alley fences, but the snow was pretty nice down the outside of the Coire Pollach Tow (skiers right).
There is a small rail park being setup for a Rail Jam on Sunday. Register in the Plateau Cafe from noon for a 1pm start. Entry is free but there is a £10 bib deposit.
Sledge park is in good shape at the Plateau Cafe and sledges are free to use from the bunker at the front of the cafe - please return the sledges after use.
For the keen it is possible to get down the Red Access Run, the lower portion of the road is passable but higher up it is scoured though there are some nice pockets of snow in Weasel Gully - but linking them together is a bit of an adventure.
