A beautiful day at the Lecht on Wednesday under bluebird skies, though a chilly one with a moderate SW wind on the top which was slowly drifting some more snow into the snowsports area. Well worth getting up if you can.
All though it was fairly busy for a January Wednesday the surface conditions are holding up nicely in the cold temperatures giving great riding even though there is not a huge depth. Thats why the Lecht is the pick just now it doesn’t need that much to come good and given the start to the season grab the opportunity of some settled fine weather in the next few days!
The runs served by the Grouse and Eagle Pomas, plus Snowy Owl Chairlift are all groomed fence to fence with a full width of machine packed fresh snow giving great surfaces for regaining these ski legs for what is now hopefully the season proper finally getting underway.
The Grouse, Osprey and Eagle Pomas, plus Snowy Owl Chair on the main slopes and the Magic Carpets and Kestral Poma for learners.
Forecast is set fair with Sunshine and light winds and staying cold to keep the snow fresh on Thursday and Friday, chance of fresher winds and some snow showers Saturday.
