Tracked up fresh on the East Lady, mid mountain has lots of options, but beware of sharks!
| View up the mountain from the Cas Carpark. Can return to the Daylodge via the Carpark Runs and the M2/Daylodge.

After a day of snow and pea soup visibility, it was all change on the overhead for Thursday, with a bluebird day on CairnGorm. The M1 Poma made its season debut during the afternoon, allowing quicker laps of the mid mountain.
The White Lady and East Lady were both seeing action, there is a lot of snow to explore but while the Top Basin is genuinely ride pretty much anywhere now, remember there is not a consolidated base under much of the wider cover on the mid mountain. Sharks are lurking!
Top to Daylodge riding is offering up 1700ft of vertical from the top of the Ptarmigan Tow, with the M2 / Daylodge route now officially open, though cover is still a bit thin towards the bottom of the Daylodge Run. The M2 is in great condition and it is possible to take a deviation through the top of the Aonach Bowl.
Both levels of the Cas Carpark were full by around 10.30 on Thursday and day tickets are sold out through Sunday. No shuttle bus was operating, and some people had to park in the Ciste and either skin up to the Daylodge run or face a lengthy walk up the link road! Though for those who did skin up, it meant a 2000ft descent was possible back to the car from the Ptarmigan Tow.
It is doubtful if tickets will be available on the day on Friday or at the weekend, with Hurricane Force SE winds now forecast for the summit on Sunday! Not good for people planning a Sunday visit, but potentially fantastic for the season ahead given the amount of snow on the Plateau and SE aspects!
