Report
Bluebird skies post dawn, but a bit more high level cloud than hoped for/forecast, but visibility stayed good across the mountain.
Alas could have done with the sun to loosen up some of the unpisted snow after a good frost last night. So if Sunday is your chance to slide this weekend, while you missed the best of the weather, you should actually get the best of the skiing with the snowpack expected to loosen up into nice granular spring snow as the freezing level nudges up on Sunday.
If you want to hit some park features without a competition, there is an open session from 10am on Sunday, in the Glencoe Gathering rail park currently residing on the Plateau Cafe sledge park slope.
Saturday's on mountain action for the Glencoe Gathering finished with the Oakley 'Chaos Race' - a mass start by any viable route race from the top of Happy Valley to the Plateau Cafe!
Lift served riding is restricted to the upper mountain, with the Cliffhanger and Mugs/Old Mugs Alley just for access to and from the upper mountain. Wind permitting the Rannoch Chair will operate for easing access to the hill as it did on Saturday.
This does mean there is no green or easy blue terrain available, so the lift served riding is only suitable for experienced skiers and boarders, comfortable with the harder end of blue terrain upwards. But with the surface conditions expected to loosen up there should be plenty to get at on the upper mountain on Sunday.
If you are reading this on Saturday evening, still time to get up and join the Saturday Apres Party in the White Corries Cafe until 11pm.
