Rannoch Chairlift from Rankin's Return, hints of blue sky above the Plateau, but top remained in hill fog!

Old Mugs Alley is the best option for early intermediates from the Coire Pollach Tow.

View from Rankin's Return.

Top leg of Mugs Alley is OK for access, but go either Bunny Run or loop round top of Rannoch Chair at the corner.

The Plateau Poma Run is skiable, but narrow and agricultural at the bottom!

Bottom of Rankin's Return is well filled in.

Skiers exploring the Wall for better visibility than further up the hill!

Skier on Rankin's Return, the best option for returning to the Access Chair.

Looking down the cutback to the lifts on Rankin's Return.

Just a reference image to think about how much snow it takes to bury the Rescue Station and make this area flat at roof level!

In the Happy Valley Narrows.

A welcome fence for some contrast on Happy Valley!

Skier in the Main Basin, exit to Happy Valley before Island Rock.

Going up the Coire Pollach Tow - someone didn't like skiing with poles!

Very busy sledge park on Saturday afternoon. The loop via the cafe is the easiest return to the Coire Pollach Tow.

Day 2 of the West Coast season saw Glencoe open to the summit, something which did not happen at all in the calendar year of 2025! The Main Basin T-bar is serving the upper Main Basin and Happy Valley. If the visibility had improved further there is probably some fun variations to be had that side of the top tows.

The cover and snow is best on the upper mountain, the top of the Main Basin giving sweet turns, but the visibility was poor up top, so limited photos of the upper mountain.

Mid mountain, partly because it was below the cloud layer, was seeing some unexpected action on the Wall and Cliffhanger Crag, definately only advanced skiers / boarders doing these and you really need decent visibility to pick a line that goes!

From the Top of the Cliffhanger, Mugs Alley is skiable onto Old Mugs Alley and Rankins Return, best to either head out round the top of the Rannoch Chair or cut to the Bunny Run side of the fence at the corner of Mugs Alley.

On the Plateau Old Mugs Alley is complete, but for snowplough turners the best route is loop round via the cafe. Just beware that the top and bottom of the Plateau Tows has very thin cover, you can ski off the Chair, but not onto the Poma at this time.

Rankins Return is decent along the fence line and is the best route back across the Plateau to the Access Chair, the top is a bit picky before you pick up the main fence line but about 80% of the run is in decent shape. The merge into the Low Road is thin, go slowly the last wee bit back to the Chair!

Sledge Park was very busy Saturday afternoon, it will be quieter mid morning. 2pm is really the latest you want to arrive for sledging to get a decent amount of time in on the mountain.
