A quiet Friday, despite a bluebird start to the day. With some fresh snow in the Main Basin from overnight showers, which was drifting around just enough to keep things quite fresh during the afternoon.
A period of heavier more organised mountain snowfall is expected during the early hours of Saturday, then further snow showers on Saturday before another bout of heavier frontal mountain snow on Saturday night through Sunday morning.
Looks like Saturday should be a freshies sort of day, with a regular top up expected, but some bright or sunny spells between showers too. Check the latest weather on the webcam page and AM updates as there is some uncertainty about how much and how quickly the wind will moderate on Saturday morning.
The main action is on the upper mountain from the Main Basin T-bar, with the mid mountain primarily for access, though the top leg of Mugs Alley and down on to Old Mugs Alley is mostly skiable and it would not take much to link it back to the Cliffhanger.
If you are free for a mid-week slide, things are looking promising for Monday and Tuesday at the moment. Keep an eye on just how much fresh comes this weekend, and start laying the foundations of a plan!
