Top of the Traverse - extra beginner areas have been created outside the fence here due to narrow cover in the Ptarmigan Bowl.
M2 / Daylodge route still skiable, but needs use of DLP uptrack in bits and has some narrow / rocky bits but is mostly good width. Don't do it if snow is hard!
Ptarmigan Bowl was bombproof early on but loosened up, and got very busy with ski schools.
Case for snowmaking - 2 cannons made what is on the upper part of the Carpark Run in a few days, an installed system could have Carpark Run complete.
Apart from this bit the M2 is mostly a decent width, but it was horrific on Friday morning before it softened up!
Top two legs of the Zig Zags are decent for Gunbarrel avoidance.

It was a decent day of weather to end the week on CairnGorm, some decent spring snow riding in the afternoon despite a limited area but first thing on Friday the snow was bombproof.
There is Top to Sheiling riding giving 1300ft of vertical via the Cas mid-mountain runs from the top of the Ptarmigan Tow. It's still just possible to get to the Daylodge level via the M2 and Daylodge Runs, most of this route is in decent shape there are some very narrow sections on the steep pitch of the M2. This was seriously bad on Friday morning, but when it softened up it was transformed into fantastic spring snow.
It is possible to get around 2/3rds of the way down the Carpark Run to the corner of Burnside where it's not much more than 2-3minutes hoofing to the Daylodge Bridge - thanks due to the machine made snow put out by the T40s when a couple were turned to point at the Carpark Run last week and one had a brief stint at the bottom of the Sheiling.
The depth around the top of the Sheiling Run just below the Cas gantry where 2 guns were located really does show the potential for a moderning snow making system to have a pretty impressive benefit. It wouldn't have taken many more in an installed automated system to have had the Carpark Run still complete & officially open - that would mean the Funicular being able to run non-stop boosting uplift capacity per hour by a similar amount to putting a double chair in beside the Funicular!
Back to here and now - poor forecast Saturday, Sunday is better, but the terrain may be even more limited given mild, wet and windy weather on Saturday. Fingers crossed what is there more or less hangs on because forecast output is starting to look more promising!
