Start of lying snow this morning about half way up the Cas T-bar.
Only small drifts of snow had formed, this was about as deep as it got.

Today on CairnGorm Mountain, Helen made it to an incredible 7 years of skiing every consecutive month in the Scottish Moountains. A run that started at the outset of the epic 2009/10 winter season - will it be a lucky 7 for the winter ahead?
Overnight snow showers fell and lay to around the top of the Gunbarrel, with some slight drifting at the highest elevations on the mountain. With fairly grassy areas by CairnGorm standards, there was just enough snow to record the first turns of the 2017 winter season in the Marquis Well's area above the Ptarmigan T-bar.
With high pressure now ridging in, some fairly benign weather is likely, but chilly with night frosts in sheltered areas.
