Decent depth on the Plateau Poma run to the bottom thanks to the snow making earlier in the week.

Looking down Old Mugs Alley, nice groomed fresh snow and gentle undulations for early intermediates.

Seemed to be a state secret. The best run of the day was Rankins Return far out East on the Plateau, packed powder corduroy at 4pm!

Old Mugs Alley bashed out to 2 machine widths giving a good long green run.

Looking down the Main Basin by Island Rock - lets built some bumps in the soft fresh snow tomorrow!

The Main Basin T-bar doing it's thing for the first time this season.

Happy Valley is pisted giving a decent long blue run, but it's a bit thin as you go into the narrows so go carefully there.

Old Mugs Alley is the route to use to the Plateau Cafe and the Cliffhanger Chair.

Spring Run in the late afternoon shadows, entrance is rocky but once in good windblown fresh.

Spectacular views in all directions including to the Ben.

It has taken until day 3 of meteorological spring, but finally Glencoe has got open to the top with the Main Basin T-bar making it's season debut on Friday.

This is giving access to Happy Valley, Main Basin and the Spring Run. Getting into the top of the Main Basin is a bit of a slalom, best option is to head towards Happy Valley and cut back in. Cover then opens out with good fresh snow in the Main Basin down through Island Rock gully, which has caught lots of windblown fresh snow in recent days. From there veer left to Happy Valley to return to the Main Basin T-bar. Spring Run has good soft windblown snow on skiers left giving easy steeper turns, but entry from the top is rocky for about 50 yards.

On the mid-mountain the Wall is skiable but it is a bit of an adventure, but the top leg of Mugs Alley has now been groomed, so it is possible to get to the Plateau Runs and Old Mugs Alley this way. Best secret of the day was the corduroy that was basically still untouched on Rankins Return at 4pm!

Plateau Poma Run has decent depth of cover thanks in a significant part to the snow making earlier in the week. Old Mugs Alley is the best route to the Plateau Cafe and Cliffhanger Chair.

Snow showers and drifting overnight should freshen things up further, but just how much wind and snow there will be during Saturday is uncertain. On balance a mix of Sunny Spells and snow showers most likely, but more persistent snow could spread in.
