Plateau Poma track is reasonably level, but the run is narrow though complete.

Rankin's Return is the best of the Plateau Runs, a good full vertical option is a sharp right off the Spring Run out Rankin's Return to the Poma.

Sledge Park at the Plateau Cafe was popular on Saturday. Sledges are free to use, just buy a chair ticket to get up.

Busy Island Rock gully above the Haggis Trap in the Main Basin.

Piste Basher at the top of the Main Basin.

Looking to the Spring Run from Rankin's Return out East on the Plateau.

Main Basin T-bar doing it's thing.

Looking up Old Mugs Alley from the Plateau Cafe. Unfortunately no route direct to Cliffhanger Chair.

Old Mugs Alley is reasonable though narrow, but the Coire Pollach uptrack is a bit of an adventure.

A warm bluebird day with little to no wind on the mountain and rather a few lobsters downloading on the Access Chair at the end of Saturday - so if you are coming up on Sunday don't forget the high factor suncream and shades! Snow will crunch up overnight and gradually loosen up in the Sun.

The upper mountain is where the best riding is and many people were just lapping the Main Basin T-bar directly with the Main Basin and Happy Valley the most popular runs. The Plateau Poma run was reasonably busy and is in not to bad shape though fairly narrow, Old Mugs Alley is actually in better condition but the Coire Pollach uptrack is only hanging on with some shovelling and less experienced riders were finding the Poma easier to ride on Saturday.

It is ski off the Access Chair onto the Plateau Poma, but unfortunately it's not possible to reach the Cliffhanger Chair on snow from any direction so you need to unclip. The best route from the Poma is down the centre fork of Old Mugs Alley to the Plateau Cafe for accessing the Cliffhanger. Mid mountain the Wall is the best run, but if the snow crunches up as expected let it soften a bit.

The same can be said for the Spring Run in the morning. Once it loosens up for more experienced skiers it's worth lapping the full on mountain vertical via the Spring Run, cutting sharp right out to Rankin's Return for return to the Plateau Poma.

There is a decent sledging area available at the Plateau Cafe. Sledges are free to use, just pay for a chairlift ticket - it is about a 7 to 10 minute walk from the Access Chair to the Cafe.
