Yvonne on the Ptarmigan Traverse - compared to other lean seasons this is doing hugely better with the new taller structural rail fencing.

Looking out over the rim of the Northern Corries from near the Summit AWS Hut.

Skinning up the Marquis Well snowfield, good extra vertical and lovely snow when you time it right in return for a wee bit of leg work.

Ptarmigan Bow has decent width of cover, but will start to narrow in coming days as there's not much depth to a lot of it.

Cas Shred terrain park was rebuilt at the end of the week and contains a good variety of features.

Looking up the top third of the Coire Cas T-bar - which still hasn't been turned on this season.

The snowsports school are running Burton Riglet snowboard taster sessions for younger kids.

If you are prepared to do some leg work the options expand with the amount of effort you're prepared to put in, if about 200m of downhill hoofing is enough then you can at least get a run down the Traverse and Coire Cas and pick up the Funicular from the mid-station. Cover in the Gunbarrel fizzles out around the M1 base, if you head via the Zig Zags you need to walk from the corner of the top Zig.

If you are looking for easily accessible green terrain, then the Top Basin is perfect and the weather will remain perfect for taking advantage of it on Monday and now looks like it should hold out for Tuesday as well. Ptarmigan Bowl and Ciste Fairway (using top section of the M2 fenceline) have decent cover up top providing longish green runs.

For those willing to either hike out to the Daylodge, or skin back up or arrange a lift from the Ciste Carpark there is still a good length of run in the Ciste Gully but do keep in mind this is being undercut by meltwater! Heading in the opposite direction from the Top Basin, above the Ptarmigan Tow the Marquis Well snowfield is in good shape and worth a hoof up to near the Summit AWS Hut for a longer run.
