Looking across to the closed Buzzard runs where snow has blown off.

Looking up the snowy owl chairlift. Runs were patchy but mostly complete.

Cover looked decent at first light despite the temperature rise.

Looking down the runs from the top of the Snowy Owl chairlift.

Report
Snow conditions looked surprisingly promising in the morning, but with wear and tear, and not helped by thin cover or rising temperatures the slopes were looking poorly by the end of the day.

Most runs were narrow or thin, with mud or brown patches appearing where cover was either thin or non-existent! This happened particularly on the steeper pitches, or at the bottom of runs. The Eagle, Osprey, Snowy Owl Chair, Robin, Wren, and the Grouse were all running, although the Chairlift was on and off with the varying wind speeds.
