Thanks to Ian Huyton for these photos from Nevis Range on Wednesday. If you have been out on the slopes please help to keep this service up to date and send your photos to pix@winterhighland.com, also help us to keep the snow editorials as detailed and accurate as possible, feedback on conditions is always welcome too.
The photos show the view to Ben Nevis from the Summit area, and a couple of pics of the Back Corries, looking down the Headwall of Coire Dubh, and the view back up towards Summit Gully.
The Back Corries are skiable, they were catching the snow on West Winds earlier in the month, however the snow level is still fairly high so varying lengths of walk out is required depending where you go and the route you take.
On the front of the mountain the Summit runs are offering the best sport, the Goose is complete, but some picking your way back to the lift is needed and there are rocks to look out for. The Rabbit Run is complete on the middle slopes, and is ok apart from the very top section. Other middle runs are generally broken with bare areas opening up, so downloading is available on the Quad.
