Drifting snow at the bottom of a windswept M2.
Heavy drifting has created some areas of deep snow. Hopefully these will last through the thaw and re-freeze.
A very busy looking carpark as seen from the Daylodge Poma.
The Winterhighland update team perhaps?

The new year brought a new cold spell and new snow, and as can be seen from the photo on the M2, there is a considerable depth built up in places due to the heavy drifting.
The Ciste Fairway had filled in again, but a savage thaw set in on Monday, so it will need to be assessed again in the morning on Tuesday. Though colder conditions are forecast to return overnight, we are stuck in a rut, of violent thaw freeze cycling, that is just about stipping the hills clear overnight. We need either much more significant snow-falls, or less savage thawing to get a base going.
