While the West has seen the best of the overhead conditions recently, Nevis has seen the least in terms of fresh snow, and could badly do with more to increase the depth on the lower half of the mountain, but more importantly to bury the scoured icy hard pack in Goose Gully,
The Goose has a reasonable cover except on the lowest section, but the snow is scoured and very icy, only for experts with good edges, witness the solid line going up Warren's and the empty Goose Gully.
The best snow is to be found on the Summit, where there is more soft snow between the fences. The terrain park is also up on the Summit.
