Top Basin has total cover with machine packed powdery surfaces on the groomers and extensive moderate off-piste beyond them. Excellent for novices and early intermediates up top weather permitting.
For those willing to hike or with touring kit there is excellent cover in the Marquis Well, round Coronation Wall and on the Headwall. Think about potential avalanche risk beyond the officially open inbounds stuff, and Northerly gales may scour some areas. At present it's possible to hold a high traverse out to get a chunk of Coronation Wall down onto the Traverse entirely from the lifts.
Mid-mountain there is an excellent base on the Traverse, Coire Cas, 105, and most of the White Lady. Lower Lady is filling out again and approach to the lifts has improved considerably. Coire Cas is giving great riding for early intermediates advancing beyond the Top Basin for longer green / easy blue terrain.
