It started snowing just after 8am at the base of Glencoe.
Within 3 hours over 7 inches of snow had fallen in almost no wind.
Chucking it down and almost calm.
Wind picked up a bit later and blew the snow off the trees, looking up the Dryslope to drifting on the crest.
Nice place to be today, weather watching from in front of the log burner!
Beware of snowmen in the carpark....

Glencoe missed out on the thundery showers late Saturday evening, but when the snow started falling just after 8am on Sunday, it fell steadily and increasingly heavily. Around 6-8 inches put down at carpark level within 3 hours or so.
Overall a further 12 to 15 inches of snow has fallen up on the mountain, with drifting increasingly picking up through the afternoon. Further snow showers and significant drifting overnight, Monday and into Tuesday.
Mid-week some uncertainty on the detail, heavy snow for a time will progressively give way to rain from the SW as the FL rises above the tops, but the duration of exposure to the warm sector of the mid-week low is still far from nailed on in the forecast models. So keep an eye on the forecasts and the webcams this week.
