The heavily moguled spring snow on the White Lady glistened in the sunshine, but the wind had other ideas. A few got some runs in the Funicular first thing and beginners that got up were able to ski on the Polar Express in relative shelter behind the bulk of CairnGorm.
However all other lifts including the train closed or remained on wind hold except the Fiacaill Ridge Poma, providing access to the Fiacaill Crossover, Zig Zags, lower Gunbarrel, Carpark Runs and Fiacaill Ridge. Plus 12°c on the Summit overnight with very high winds - full on hair drier so there has been a further loss of snow at all levels, but still skiable to the Daylodge via the Carpark Run and Fiacaill Ridge.
All Cas side mid mountain runs complete, but lower M1 very narrow by timing hut - exit to the Gunbarrel via Horizon Road best. Ciste side may have been lost if there is no viable route to the West Wall Poma, but a base remains in the East Wall and Ciste Gullies and on the West Wall and OverYonder.
