Good for ducks...
Water Islands are starting to fill up, the paths being submerged but can still get around dry.
on dry ground but 2 feet below the River Ness! Only inches now from swamping the Islands.
Getting soggy as water seeps through the banks.
Ducks are home at Whin Park.
Water Slide anyone! :rotate:
The Wier at Ness-side. Nothing to spectacular (yet?).
8ft and rising, was 6'6 at 4pm Friday. Same rise again would take the Ness over Ladies Walk and parts of Ness Walk.

Report
The River Ness has been gradually rising with spells of heavy rain falling on already saturated ground, further heavy rain in the Western and Southern portion of the catchment area means river levels are rising again, and water levels are still rising on in-flows to Loch Ness.
A Flood Watch has now been issued for the Ness: “
River levels of many of the tributaries entering around the southern perimeter of Loch Ness are rising following the recent heavy rain. With sustained outbreaks of heavy rain anticipated overnight and into tomorrow river levels in this area can be expected to rise further. A gradual increase in loch level is also expected. This may lead to localised flooding conditions in this area. “
The Ness at the Infirmary Bridge has risen about a foot and a half from 4pm yesterday evening to mid-day Saturday, a similar rise would see the River spill over Ladies Walk and parts of Ness Walk. Ten feet is the critical point above which real problems could start to arise, if the water goes over the solid portion of the bridge piers, a depth of 12feet, the Ness will be above most of its banks in Inverness. Will watch and put up more photos if the river rises further.
